Hamilton Hall provides residence
hall accommodations for approximately 320 students;
most are housed in double-occupancy rooms, the remainder
in triples. Hamilton Living Learning Center is fully
furnished with air conditioning, microwaves and
refrigerators. Also, each room is equipped with
an Ethernet hook-up for each student to connect
to Wright State University's Local Access Network
from their room.
The hall has eight single-sex floors with men
occupying four floors and women occupying four
floors and some floors have a lounge with a television.
The lobby provides a common area for students
to meet and socialize. The lobby also provides
students with a 24-hour computer lab connected
to the Internet and university e-mail. Laundry
facilities (Wright1 Card operated) and vending
machines are available in the building.
This facility is conveniently located in close
proximity to the Student Union and campus tunnel
system. Housing is available during winter and
spring breaks for an additional charge.
Engineering and Computer Science students entering
Wright State in the fall now have a new housing
option available. Hamilton Hall will be home to
those Engineering and Computer Science students
who choose to participate in this program. Hamilton
Hall is located close to the Union Market, Russ
Engineering Center and Main Campus. ECS students
will have the opportunity to collaborate and interact
with other students in their major and will have
access to services such as tutoring, seminars,
and an EGR 190/191 help room.
Of course all of the traditional residence life programs will be offered:
- Resident Assistants (RAs) on each floor - An RA is a person who's been specially selected and trained to assist you in your adjustment to college, be a support for you, help you with conflicts, provide educational opportunities and social activities, and be a resource.
- Community Council- Get involved in planning activities for you community and in residential governance.
- Floor Standards - You floor decides how you'll treat each other and hold each other accountable for the standards you set.
- Educational Workshops - You'll plan and/or attend educational workshops with your Resident Assistant.
- Social Activities - Many of these are planned so you can take some time to get to know your fellow community members in between all that studying!
