Wright State Physicians Family Medicine offers educational session about happiness

Wright State Physicians Family Medicine will offer an educational session about happiness on Thursday, Aug.11, 7 to 8:30 p.m., in Classroom 1 on the second floor of the Wright State Physicians Health Center (725 University Blvd., Fairborn, OH 45324) on the campus of Wright State University. The session is free and open to the public.

The speaker is Paul Hershberger, Ph.D., a clinical health psychologist. He is a professor of family medicine and director of behavioral science for the Family Medicine Residency Program at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. His clinical practice includes psychotherapy, consultation and coaching.

Hershberger will lead a discussion about happiness, addressing myths about happiness, predicting happiness, positive emotions and health and sharing positive experiences with others.

This session is part of the “Brain Matters” educational series, which focuses on building resilience with attention given to factors regarding sleep, exercise, diet, anger management and healthy relationships.
