The Boonshoft School of Medicine and Premier Health’s CareFlight partnership continues to expand training opportunities for emergency medicine residents, with the rollout of a new helicopter underscoring shared investment in advanced care.
A new articulation agreement with Indiana University East allows students to complete Medical Laboratory Science training at Wright State, addressing critical workforce shortages across eastern Indiana.
BSOM also hosted Ohio’s first statewide Point-of-Care Ultrasound workshop for family medicine physicians, in partnership with Kettering and OSU, strengthening regional physician training and collaboration.
Strategy 3.3 Cultivate Connections with P–12 Education Partners
The Take Flight Academy expanded to Jefferson Township Local Schools, offering high school students college-readiness experiences through weekly engagement with Wright State staff. The program now operates in two districts and continues to grow.
Wright State’s annual Crayons to Classrooms event provided $90,000 in free school supplies to 70 new local teachers, helping graduates start their careers equipped for success.
University leaders met with career-technical center partners across the region to expand pipelines in health, IT, and engineering, while the Admissions Advisory Board brought together 25 high school counselors to share insights on students’ college search journeys.
