photo of provost amy thompsonDear Colleagues,

As we enter the final week of the Fall Semester, I again want to express my appreciation for your work and dedication in making our university successful. I know that we are truly making a difference for our students, current and future. I hope you can take time to relax and spend time with those you care for over our upcoming Winter Break. I look forward to seeing you all at the commencement ceremonies this weekend and again when we return in January.

Final Grades Due December 20

Final grading is open through noon on Wednesday, December 20. We encourage faculty to submit their grades as soon as possible to ensure the Registrar’s Office has time to process grades before Winter Break, which begins on December 22.

Please log in to WINGS Express to verify that grades have been submitted successfully for each of your classes. Information about the grading system and policy is available on the Grading System webpage.

The University of Cincinnati will host two daylong grant writing workshops that are available to all Wright State University faculty:

First Destination Survey

The First Destination Survey, which collects students’ post-graduation plans, is available for students graduating this semester. Survey responses help us assess our impact on student success, recruit prospective students, and fulfill requests from organizations that accredit or rank our programs.

Please encourage your graduating students to complete this important survey. The survey remains open in Handshake for five months after the student graduates. Learn more:

When a Student Needs Support

Wright.edu/help is a great resource for helping students or making referrals. This site contains contact information for emergency or essential departments that can assist your students all in one location.

I hope you all have a wonderful week! You are appreciated!
