Declaration, Articles of Confederation, and the Constitution

Campers will dive deep into the revolutionary ideas of natural rights and consent of the governed, examine why the Articles of Confederation failed, and experience the dramatic birth of the U.S. Constitution. Through interactive lectures, the award-winning film “A More Perfect Union,” exciting board games such as Constitution Quest and The Presidential, and hands-on simulations, participants gain a vivid understanding of how the Constitution was created. Daily civil discourse training, group challenges, and lively debates help campers develop critical thinking, respectful dialogue skills, and a lasting appreciation for the Constitution’s brilliant system of checks and balances that continues to protect our freedoms today.
