[OFFICIAL-L] Jackie Stevens Appointed Executive Assistant to the Provost

Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to announce that Jackie Stevens has joined the Provost’s Office as executive assistant to the provost.

Jackie joined Wright State University in 2003 as an administrative assistant for the Department of Teacher Education, a position she held until 2010. Her accomplishments in the Department of Teacher Education speak to the range and versatility she brings to the Provost’s Office. Her ability to ensure the timely and accurate work essential to a department was joined to analytical and problem-solving skills that aided the work of various committees and in some instances resulted in the extension of her innovative solutions to the entire university.

In 2010, Jackie became the administrative specialist in the Dean’s Office in the College of Education and Human Services, where her abilities to manage the complex processes again resulted in a smoothness of operation that led to her appointment as administrative assistant to the dean in 2018, a position where her interpersonal skills, her ability to envision operations that served an entire college, and her ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures earned her the recognition and respect of many at Wright State.

With the changes taking place in academic affairs in general and the Provost’s Office in particular, Jackie brings a knowledge of the university and a breadth of experience that will help ensure the success of the Provost’s Office.

Please join me in congratulating Jackie Stevens as she undertakes these new responsibilities.

Oliver H. Evans, Ph.D.
