James Gross, M.P.H., retiring CEO of Public Health — Dayton and Montgomery County, will speak at a meeting of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health on "Reflections from an Outgoing Health Commissioner: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (But Mostly the Good)." Refreshments will follow his talk.

Gross serves on the voluntary faculty in the WSU Boonshoft School of Medicine Master of Public Health Program and serves as a primary communication link between the medical school’s Center for Global Health and the Miami Valley community. After 36 years of service in local public health, seven of which have been as health commissioner, he will retire in early 2015.
