Frequently Asked Questions about our New Location

  • Why are we moving?

    Student Health Services will become part of the Wright State Physicians (WSP) medical practice to provide better access to care and increase services for Wright State University students. The move is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to improve the physical health of the campus community.

  • When will the move take place?

    Student Health Services will be moving effective January 6, 2020.

  • Will Student Health Services’ hours of operation remain the same?

    As before the move, we will be open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, we will no longer close from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch in an effort to increase access to care.

  • Will Student Health Services continue to provide the same services as before?

    Yes, we will continue to offer the same services as before, in addition to increased access to specialists at Wright State Physicians, such as dermatology, internal medicine, OB/GYN, and surgery. Please view the Our Services page for more information.

  • Where will Student Health Services be located?

    Effective January 6, 2020, Student Health Services will be located inside the Wright State Physicians Health Center building on campus at 725 University Blvd., Fairborn, Ohio 45324, next to the Rinzler Student Sports Complex and Lot 20, commonly known as K Lot.

  • Will transportation be provided to the new location?

    Yes, Raider Ride shuttle service will provide rides on campus, with a stop located directly in front of the Wright State Physicians building. Please contact transportation services for information regarding bus schedules.

  • Will I need an appointment for care?

    Appointments are only required for physical exams, female exams, and allergy injections. All other services are walk-in.

  • Which insurance plans will be accepted?

    We will continue to accept most major insurances, including the Wright State University—United Health Care Student Resource Plan. Please contact Student Health Services for information about your specific plan.

  • Is Counseling and Wellness moving too?

    The Counseling and Wellness office will remain in 053 Student Union.
