African American Studies in Gender Experiences in Medicine

You can gain an understanding of how race and gender influence the lives of health care professionals and their patients by enrolling in this undergraduate certificate program. You will study minority populations in health care settings through courses in communication, philosophy, biology, nursing, African and African American studies, and women’s studies. This program is offered by the College of Liberal Arts in collaboration with the Boonshoft School of Medicine and the College of Education.
