Be prepared to start semesters off the Wright way by participating in our annual Welcome Week and the many events and activities it has to offer. This week will be packed with so many opportunities for new and returning student to learn about WSU, get involved and of course, HAVE FUN!!!
Welcome Week is full of departmental and student organization events and gives opportunities to meet and get to know students, faculty and staff. We will also be providing information booths, tours, and open houses and many other opportunities to learn what Wright State is all about, while celebrating the jump into semesters.
Welcome Week assists Orientation in the successful transition of new and current students to the Wright State University through a week of intentional academic, social, and community-building activities, structures, and programs.
- Provide a welcoming environment to new/transfer/current WSU Students
- Provide opportunities for WSU students to create long lasting relationships though intentional programming
- Educate New and Transfer students about the WSU campus culture
- Assist students in the transition into college life.
- Introduce new and current students about the rich history and pride of Wright State University

Host an Event
The University Activities Board and The Office of Student Activities encourages all registered student organizations to host an entertaining and informative program throughout the week to welcome new and returning students to Wright State!
The hope is to to create a collaborative calendar highlighting the events taking place on campus during Welcome Week hosted by you, the students! The Office of Student Activities has a holds on a lot of the locations for Welcome Week and will delegate them out to student groups as needed.
If your organization would like to coordinate a Welcome Week activity and would like it listed in the Welcome Week publication, please submit the form to let us know you would like to host an event. Please do this by Monday, June 30th 2014 by 11:59pm.

All new students are encouraged to participate in Wright State’s Welcome Week. This is the best way to meet people, learn how to navigate your way around campus, and discover campus resources that will help you be successful here at the University. Wright State’s Welcome Week is a great time for faculty and staff members to go to know and interact with new and returning students outside of the classroom or office. Help us welcome new and returning students to campus. If you are interested in hosting an event during or would like to serve as a volunteer, email Welcomeweek@wright.edu.
