DDN: Here’s how the salaries of WSU faculty match up to other Ohio colleges

Wright State University’s faculty union is planning to strike after the university’s board made a last best offer that didn’t include pay raises.

President Cheryl Schrader has said faculty at WSU have higher salaries than their peers at similar state universities.

Wright State’s main campus professors make an average $119,600, associate professors make $92,700, assistant professors make $78,000 and instructors make $59,700. The university had nearly 17,000 students enrolled in 2017.

Here’s how the salaries stack up to the main campuses at other Ohio institutions, according to a 2017-18 American Association of University Professors report.
