Graduate Application Process

When the Office of International Admissions receives an application, the process is as follows:

1

Applicant's information is loaded into the database and the file is forwarded to Office of International Admissions

2

After applicants upload all required documents (see major sheet) the documents are reviewed and prepared for departmental evaluation.

3

File is sent to department for admission decision

4

File is returned to International Admissions Office with admission decision

5

If the department is offering admission and all immigration documents are in the applicant’s file (financial statement form, bank statement and copy of passport for self and accompanying dependents), the I-20 and admission letter are issued.

6
An email is sent to applicant with copy of I-20. The applicant is asked to confirm that the all information on the form is correct  and to provide mailing address and phone number.
7
Admission packet is mailed to the student when he/she replies to the email and confirms that the I-20 is correct and provides mailing address and phone number.

The time needed for the above described process will depend on the volume of applications received. At a minimum, applicants should expect a wait of about one month before receiving an email from us. All required documents must be completed and on file before an admission decision will be made.

Inquiries about the status of an application are answered only to the applicant through email at international-admissions@wright.edu with the ID number in the subject header. This ID number will be provided by email to the student only after the application has been uploaded onto the mainframe.

NOTE: All documents submitted during the application process will become property of Wright State Universityand will NOT be returned.
