Acceptable and Unacceptable Recycling Items
Acceptable recycling items
The following can be combined:- Office paper (notebook and copy paper)
- Magazines
- Paperboard (cereal and gift boxes)
- Telephone message slips/post-its
- Colored paper and envelopes
- Newspaper/magazines/catalogs
- Glass jars and bottles
- Paper ream wrappers/shredded paper
- Manila and white envelopes
- File folders/cardboard
- Aluminum cans/steel soup cans
- Empty aerosol cans
- Plastic Bottles # 1–7 (milk jugs, soda, water, detergent, shampoo)
- Copier cartridges (placed in special bin)
Unacceptable recycling items:
- Plastic overheads/metals
- Food and packaging/plastic bowls
- Binders/plastics/lids
- Pizza boxes
- Yogurt containers
- Batteries
- Light bulbs
- Salad containers/plastic cutlery
- Napkins/tissues
- Paper towels
- Styrofoam/wax paper
The following items are recycled through Environmental Health and Safety:
- Computers
- Batteries
- Light bulbs
The following items are recycled through Grounds:
- Metals
- Wood
