Equity Champions Spring 2024

Equity Champions Spring 2024

Wright State Equity Champions is offering an opportunity for anyone who teaches at least one class of 10 or more students during spring semester to join our community of practice. Any faculty or staff member committed to making evidence-based changes in their courses that improve student outcomes by focusing on belonging, social connectedness, identity safety, and growth mindset is eligible to apply. These outcomes include both success in the current class and retention through college. Those eligible to apply include TET, NTE, adjunct, staff, and campus leaders (i.e. chairs, associate deans, etc.) at both Dayton and Lake campuses who are teaching at least one course in S24.

Equity Champions will participate in a semester long community of practice wherein instructors learn together, share ideas, and work together to develop resources for supporting equity in their classes. This takes place largely online with weekly small group discussions. Please see the attached flier for more details on how this program will work.

Please apply here by December 8. Contact Peggy Kelly, Faculty Fellow for Pedagogy, in the Center for Faculty Excellence at peggy.kelly@wright.edu with any questions.
