About University College

photo of a peer mentor and studentsUniversity College (UC) is a national model recognized for programs such as: First Year Experience, Common Text, Learning Communities, Supplemental Instruction, and Service Learning with Civic Engagement.

University College serves as the academic home for over 3,000 students, making us the largest College on the Wright State University Campus. We house 12 professional Academic Advisors to assist students in a successful transition into the college or major of their choice, while also providing services through our Student Academic Success Center (SASC) to ensure student academic achievement.  

Additionally, University College collaborates with all Wright State's colleges to provide more than 50 Learning Communities, serving over 1,800 freshmen who share academic and social interests.

The University College will provide access, guidance, and academic support to first-year, transfer and adult students in a nurturing, diverse, respectful, and supportive environment that assists students in making a successful transition to college and appropriate majors, while developing the foundations for civic engagement and lifelong learning.
