We hope you take advantage of one of the four opportunities to take a campus tour today: 8:30 a.m., 9:35 a.m., 10:35 a.m., and 12:05 p.m. CHOOSE YOUR TOUR TYPE: Traditional Tour features campus and two of our first-year housing communities, Hamilton Hall and The Woods. Honors Tour features campus and our third first-year housing community, Honors. GPA requirement for Honors is 3.0. These walking tours will last one hour. To help you have the best campus tour experience, we will be capping tour groups at 25 people. All housing communities will be open after the event. Please see the Campus Housing table in the lower atrium for a special housing-only tour.
Early Bird University Honors Info Session
Start your day off right! This session features a comprehensive overview of the University Honors Program, including admission criteria, honors curriculum, unique program features, and scholarship opportunities.
Campus Housing and Dining Services Info Session
Find out what it’s like to call Wright State University home. Information includes the campus lifestyle, safety, amenities on campus, and how to apply for housing. The dining portion of the session will include all of the delicious places to eat on campus and how a meal plan works.
We want to officially welcome you to campus and thank you for taking the time to visit with us! Representatives from Admissions and Raider Connect (Financial Aid, Registrar and Bursar) will be running down the basics in this session. If you have additional questions, representatives from both departments will be staffed at information tables throughout the day.
Academic and Campus Life Table Displays
Speak with professors and representatives about academic majors and campus services at the table displays. Representatives from various campus organizations and departments can give you an idea of what campus life is like at Wright State. The tables will be open from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. so visit them at your convenience.
College of Science and Mathematics Info Session
Interested in Science & Math? Meet some of our students and learn more about our degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Math & Statistics, Physics and Psychology. Tour some of our teaching facilities and research labs and find out how you can get involved in undergraduate research. Our student success team will share with you opportunities available to our students and how getting involved paves the way towards success.
College of Education and Human Services Info Session
Learn more about the programs offered by the College of Education and Human Services in this session. Bring your questions! There will be a presenter, academic advisors and teaching licensure advisors who will be happy to answer them. If you are interested in secondary education, please attend the session of the subject that you want to teach. For example, if you want to teach English, attend the College of Liberal Arts session.
College of Engineering and Computer Science Info Session and Project Displays in Russ Lobby
Learn about majors in engineering and computer science, co-op opportunities, undergraduate research and our 4+1 combined bachelors and masters programs. Find out how our staff is committed to your success through tutoring, a mentoring program, mandatory academic advising and more. This is your opportunity to explore the Russ Engineering Center to see what current engineering and computer science students are doing at Wright State.
College of Nursing and Health Info Session and Nursing Skills Lab Tours
Representatives from the College of Nursing and Health will review the nursing curriculum and requirements for admission into this major. Tours of the Nursing Skills Lab will be provided.
College of Liberal Arts Info Session
Learn about the nearly 50 majors that the College of Liberal Arts offers and how they can lead to a successful career. Our liberal arts majors are divided into four disciplines: Humanities, Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary Programs, Fine and Performing Arts. Students interested in fine and performing arts majors (Acting, Art, Dance, Design/Technology, Motion Pictures, Music, and Theatre) are offered a tour of the Creative Arts Center as a part of the session.
Creative Arts Center Tour
Students interested in our Fine and Performing Arts majors (Acting, Art, Dance, Design/Technology, Motion Pictures, Music, and Theatre) will be escorted from the College of Liberal Arts info session to the Creative Arts Center to see where the classes for their program will be held, where performances and displays take place, and to meet faculty in their major. Breakout sessions by major will occur upon arrival to the Creative Arts Center. Our tour guides will meet you there to offer an optional tour of campus and housing. This session will end at noon at the Student Union.
Raj Soin College of Business Info Session and Soin Trading Center Center, Rike Hall Tour
Faculty and staff will explain all of the exciting details that are a part of this successful academic college, including internships and job opportunities. This is your opportunity to check out classrooms and speak with professors. The state-of-the-art Soin Trading Center features an actual stock ticker tape that provides timely information from such major stock markets as New York City, London, Frankfurt and Tokyo to expose students to the international business marketplace.
Pre-Health Professions Info Session
If you're interested in pursuing a career in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physical therapy, pharmacy, physician assistant or optometry, you'll want to attend the Pre-Health information session. Here you will meet Wright State's Pre-Health advisor, learn which courses you'll need to complete, how these courses fit within your academic program and what a professional school looks for in a competitive applicant.
