This award is designed to recognize the successful efforts of members of the Wright State University community in expanding global awareness and international understanding on the campus and in the surrounding communities. The award is designed, as well, to highlight innovations in curriculum development, the operation of study abroad activities and the provision of services to students and scholars. The award is presented annually in conjunction with International Education Week observances at Wright State University. This year International Education Week will be November 18th-22nd, 2013.
• Any faculty, staff, student member(s), or group of the WSU community can be nominated for this award.
• Nominations should include a cover letter summarizing the accomplishments of the candidate(s), a curriculum vitae or resume, and appropriate supporting evidence concerning the nominee(s)' contributions to international education at Wright State University. Nominations should be submitted to Michelle Streeter-Ferrari, Director, University Center for International Education, E190 Student Union by September 20th, 2013.
• These materials will be forwarded to a selection committee composed of six members of the UCIE Advisory Committees.
For his tireless efforts to expose the Wright State community to global cultures and research, George Huang, Ph.D., is this year's recipient of the university's International Education Award.

During International Education Week, November 1-5, 2010, Dr. Lang Hong, Ph.D., Associate Dean in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, was awarded the International Education Award for 2010.

2006 International Education Award Recipient was Andrew Lai,Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Interim Chair of the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management, and Coordinator of China EMBA program.
2005 International Education Award Recipient was Professor Wayne Carmichael from The Department of Biological Sciences.
