Program Conversions to Semester

Revised on January 25: minor changes to the Management BSB, Accounting BSB, History BA and History Minor programs (online versions at the UCAPC transition website are the corrected versions).

Semester Conversion Inventory

The committee approved the following, the first being received from the Faculty Senate Executive Committee and the second being a revision of the workflow help document:
To the Chair of UCAPC;
After discussion in Faculty Senate Executive Committee we ask that UCAPC reserve the 4th digit of the semester course numbers for future designation to be determined. Until that time, the fourth digit must be zero. All courses and programs must be submitted using zero as the fourth digit.
Courses intended to support and supplement a corresponding lecture course, such as a clinical, laboratory, or recitation:
Ungraded, Zero Credit Hour Courses: The selection above of more than one course type (e.g., lecture, lab, recitation) indicates that discrete instructional time is required for each course component. In these cases, the credit hours will be administratively applied to the lecture portion of the course and zero credit hours will be administratively applied to the additional course components selected.
Credit-Bearing Courses: Any courses intended to support and supplement a corresponding lecture course (laboratory, recitation, clinical, etc) that are credit-bearing must be submitted through the workflow as separate courses. Each of these co-requisite courses share a common prefix and course number with the corresponding lecture, with the addition of a 5th alpha character designating the course type as follows (Example: BIO 1050 & BIO 1050L):
