The proposals involve GE substitution courses and a change in the GE
Program that needs to be reviewed by UGEC and confirmed with OBR with
regard to the GE Transfer Module. Upon notification to UCAPC that
approval has been received, the proposals will be forwarded to the
Faculty Senate for review and approval (i.e., unlike other course
inventory and modification requests, all GE Program proposals must also
be routed through the Faculty Senate process).

Approved the following subject to a resubmission to the
UCAPC chair to implement the change noted below* (All of which

To remove the ABET accreditation deficiency given to the Computer
Science programs, the committee requests that the CECS change its
proposal for the GE Program Area VI requirement for Computer
Science Majors: [complete] "One additional writing intensive course
from Areas II, III, IV" to "Choose any College of Liberal Arts Area VI
course". UGEC will also review the change. Upon receipt of such
changes and UGEC approval for all of the above programs, the link noted
will be activated and the proposals will be forwarded to the Faculty
Senate.
Note: approved by UGEC February 22, 2006 and the link above activated upon that approval and will be submitted to the Faculty Senate for the May 2006 meeting.
