Since its November 6 report to the Faculty Senate, the Curriculum Committee met on November 16. At that meeting the committee acted on the following:

Course Modification and Inventory Requests:

Approved PSY 215 with a title change per the reconciliation between the Departments of Theater Arts and Psychology

Approved 52 Course Modification Requests from the COSM: 18 Medical Technology Courses (MT) changed to Clinical Laboratory Courses (CL) to appropriately reflect changes in the profession and 34 Geology (GL) courses deleted from inventory that were primarily inactive due to previous curriculum changes.

Biomedical Engineering Program (Curriculum A, non-premedical) Change

Deletions: ME 202 (4 hrs)
Additions: EGR 190 (3 hrs) & EGR 191 (3 hrs) 
Degree Requirements Change: Increase from 203 to 205 hrs

Industrial and Systems Engineering Program Change 

Deletions: Reduce Technical Electives (2 hrs) 
Additions: EGR 190 (3 hrs) & EGR 191 (3 hrs) 
Degree Requirements Change: Increase from minimum of 200 to 204 hrs

Electrical Engineering Program Change 

Deletions: Technical Electives (5 hrs) 
Additions: EGR 190 (3 hrs) & EGR 191 (3 hrs) 
Modifications: EE 140 (decrease from 4 to 3 hrs) 
Degree Requirements Change: No change

In regard to the committee's recommendation before the Faculty Senate meeting of November 6, 2000 for the revision of the Office of the Provost's August 15 issuance of "Guidelines Governing" the Add/Drop Policy, the committee approved and recommended an Addendum to Procedures (primarily informational) to accommodate the Associate Provost's concerns raised at the same meeting.
