Undergraduate Admission Policy 
Wright State accepts transfer students with an overall grade point average of 2.0 (out of 4.0 scale) (from the last institution that they attempted 12 quarter/9 semester hours or more). However, admission to many of our majors require a higher GPA (and more). Acceptable transfer credit will satisfy any of the requirements.
Check out an abbreviated summary of the entrance requirements for specific majors below. The requirements are organized by colleges, then departments. Grade point averages are cumulative (including all institutions attended, unless labeled otherwise).
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 from all institutions attended; 30 semester/45 quarter hours
- Necessary forms needed to apply for your major are available through the College of Education and Human Services Student Services website.

- Typed statement of life experiences candidate brings to the Athletic Training program; medical history; technical standards form; high school and college (if applicable) transcripts; copy of Wright State acceptance letter; formal application; three letters of recommendation from a current or former employer/administrator, a current or former teacher, and a certified athletic trainer or coach; and interview.
- Application deadline for every fall entrance is March 1.

- Cumulative GPA of 2.0, completion of ENG 1100 with a grade of C or higher, and completion of two additional Core courses taught in Liberal Arts

- Completion of MTH 1280(or a higher-level math course) with a grade of C or higher

- Application deadline is February 1. Students are admitted into the major once a year.
- Admission to the Social Work program is very competitive.

- All prerequisite courses must be completed with a minimum of a “C” and a minimum grade point average of 2.75. Completion of ANT 2100, 2120, ENG 1100, PSY 1010, PSY 3410, CHM 1020, BIO 1050 or 1070 or 1120 or 1500, STT 1600; and formal application (PDF).
- HESI A2 standardized entrance exam with minimum 80% score on each subject area
- Application deadlines are May 15thfor Fall admission and September 15th for spring admission.
- Successful complete of a background check based on the Ohio Board of Nursing Guidelines
