James M. Zimmerman

James M. Zimmerman is an attorney in the Business and Finance Department in the Cincinnati office of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP. Mr. Zimmerman received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, with honors, from Vanderbilt University. He received his law degree from Vanderbilt Law School, where he served as a senior editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review and was admitted to the Order of the Coif (an honor reserved for those graduating in the top 10% of their class).

Mr. Zimmerman concentrates his practice on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and start-up and emerging businesses. He has significant experience in venture capital fund formation and investment; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; and a range of corporate and intellectual property matters for start-up and emerging businesses.
