Gretchen Bender
Gretchen Bender is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Dayton
School of Law , where she teaches patent law and an introductory course on intellectual
property, and gives seminars on biotechnology IP.
Prof. Bender graduated from the University of San Francisco Law School
with a Juris Doctor cum laude and obtained a Master’s of Law in
patent and intellectual property law, from the George Washington University
School of Law.
Prof. Bender has over 15 years of experience in prestigious IP law firms
where her responsibilities included IP litigation, as well as corporations.
She received numerous awards including the Robert C. Watson Writing
Prize, in 2001, and the DuPont Eagle Award in 1998.
Prof. Bender is admitted to practice in Delaware (all state and third
circuit).
