Titles have been announced for the 2023-24 Book Club sponsored by the Friends of the Libraries, the WSU Alumni Association and the WSU Retirees Association. Book discussions will be held on select Thursdays from 5:30–6:30 p.m. online via WebEx.
On Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, the group will be discussing The Summers by Ronya Othman, translated by Dr. Gary Schmidt, dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Dean Schmidt will be in attendance for discussion.
The following titles will be discussed on these dates:
- Nov. 16, 2023: Calling for a Blanket Dance, by Oscar Hokeah
- Jan. 18, 2024: Lucky Red, by Claudia Cravens
- March 21, 2024: Winner of the Dayton Literary Peace Prize for Fiction
Registration is available on the library website, but is not required. More information, including the online events, and the books in the WSU Libraries’ collection, will be posted on the University Libraries website.
