What is Orientation?

Orientation is a program designed to assist students with making the transition to Wright State University. Participation in this new student program will improve students' overall understanding of academic programs, course registration, student life, and university policies and procedures.

Attending Orientation will help set the tone for your student's entire four-year college experience, so make sure he/she attends this welcoming, fun, and productive program.

During Orientation, students will:

  • Connect with colleges, academic advisors, and current Wright State University students.
  • Get hands on experience using the WINGS/WINGS Express web portal and accessing electronic services.
  • Learn more about learning communities, service learning, and study abroad opportunities.
  • Confirm his/her first academic class schedule with an academic advisor.
  • Gain familiarity with the campus resources and get a student ID.
  • Get more information about upcoming events scheduled for the weekend prior to the first week of Fall Semester classes.
