The 2016 Honors Institute Luncheon will be held Wednesday, March 23. The luncheon is also free and open to the public, but prior registration is required. Maysoon Zayid is an actress, professional standup comedian, and writer. She received a BA in Acting from Arizona State University and is the co-founder/co-executive producer of the New York Arab American Comedy Festival. Maysoon was a full-time On-Air Contributor to Countdown with Keith Olbermann, and has recently appeared on The Queen Latifah Show and Huffington Post Live. Maysoon is a recurring columnist at The Daily Beast and was a speaker at TEDWomen 2013.
Maysoon Zayid's keynote address is presented with support from the Office of the President in conjunction with the Presidential Lecture Series and the Office of Disability Services. The Wright State University Presidential Lecture Series was established to advance human justice and promote the university's commitment to creating a diverse university community and learning environment.
