The eighth annual Honors Institute was held on March 7 and 8, 2013, and featured a Presidential Lecture Series keynote address by Neil deGrasse Tyson, astrophysicist and Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium at New York City's American Museum of Natural History. The following day's symposium featured luncheon speaker Henry Fountain, New York Times science writer.
