Please join the Bolinga Black Cultural Resources Center for the annual Wright State University Kwanzaa Celebration! Kwanzaa is an African American holiday that is based on the first fruit celebrations of Africa. It was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966 to introduce and reinforce seven basic values of African culture: Unity, Self-determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith. There will be food, presentations and performances by the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company and In His Presence Gospel Choir.
