Our Philosophy photo of student on campus

Wright State University takes pride in its diverse student population. Access is a vital feature of the Wright State community; virtually the entire campus is accessible.

We believe that a student's college education is an opportunity to develop academically, vocationally, and personally. Students with disabilities are encouraged to develop independence to the fullest extent possible and to assume responsibility for their chosen lifestyles.

We strive to teach students skills that will assist them as they transition into the professional world. Our focus on independence is the reason that we are ranked as a national leader in accommodating students with disabilities. Over 750 students with physical, learning, and/or psychological disabilities participate in our programs each year.
