The Office of Disability Services offers orientation sessions for incoming students with disabilities, during the summer prior to the beginning of each school year. Students and their families should attend an ODS orientation in addition to the university's student orientation program.

ODS orientation sessions focus on our specialized services for students with disabilities, such as personal assistants, reader/writers, ASL interpreting, captionists, test accommodations, test proctors, books in alternative formats, Autism support group, etc.

We strongly recommend that students and families attend the university orientation session on the day before the ODS orientation, to reduce travel costs. Information on registration and dates for the university's student Orientation can be found at the Orientation website.  Information on local accommodations can be found at the Admissions website.

  • For information about orientations for students with physical, visual, hearing, and medical disabilities, please email Jean Denney or call 937.775.5680.
  • For information about non-physical disability orientations, such as learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum, please email Heather Rando or call 937.775.5680.
