The Foundation for Wright State's Future
The Wright State Foundation has been helping the university grow since its inception, through its mission "to secure, manage, and distribute private support to enhance the growth and development" of the university.
An independent Foundation Board of Trustees who are leaders in business and civic organizations serve as overseers. Their stewardship helps to ensure that funds given to the foundation are managed and allocated for the long-term benefit of the university and in keeping with the desires of the donors.
Donors may designate their gifts to any number of specific purposes, such as scholarships, faculty research, the colleges and schools, and the university endowment, which invests funds to ensure a strong financial base for the future.
The foundation is a charitable organization qualifying for tax-exempt status under Section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, and donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
The foundation has been the beneficiary of millions of dollars of donations since its inception. Each of our donors has contributed to making Wright State the leader that it is today, and we thank you.
A Message from
Our Chair
Many of us have seen Wright State University grow and change over the years. What was once a small state university for the Dayton region is now a leader in higher education, recognized on a national and international scale.
As a graduate of Wright State University, I take great pride in my alma mater and what it has become. That's why I am honored to serve as chair of the Wright State University Foundation's Board of Trustees.
It is a pleasure to be part of an organization that supports Wright State University and its students. Of course, our work would not be possible without the generous support of our alumni and friends.
Your commitment to scholarships, academic excellence, groundbreaking research, and world-class facilities is helping nearly 20,000 students attain a quality education.
Thank you for giving of your time, talent, and treasure to change the lives of our students.
