The Foundation for Wright State's Future
The Wright State University Foundation has been helping the university grow since its inception, through its mission "to secure, manage, and distribute private support to enhance the growth and development" of the university.
An independent Foundation Board of Trustees who are leaders in business and civic organizations serve as overseers. Their stewardship helps to ensure that funds given to the foundation are managed and allocated for the long-term benefit of the university and in keeping with the desires of the donors.
Donors may designate their gifts to any number of specific purposes, such as scholarships, faculty research, the colleges and schools, and the university endowment, which invests funds to ensure a strong financial base for the future.
The foundation is a charitable organization qualifying for tax-exempt status under Section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, and donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
The foundation has been the beneficiary of millions of dollars of donations since its inception. Each of our donors has contributed to making Wright State the leader that it is today, and we thank you.
A Message from
Growing up as one of seven children I thought that a college education was out of reach until I learned about Wright State University. For a young man of modest means, my options were somewhat limited. Like many of our alumni and current students, I worked to pay my way through school. As I look back now, it was one of the best investments of time and money that I would ever make.
For students who want to work hard and make something of themselves, the doors of opportunity are wide open at Wright State University. Just as Wright State helped me, I want to do my part to enable our students to reach their fullest potential. I am honored to serve as chair of the Wright State University Foundation, where we are working to provide more opportunities for students than ever before.
As the cost of higher education continues to rise, attending college is becoming ever more challenging for students from throughout our region and across the nation. Your gifts help the foundation provide much-needed scholarships to students so they can complete their degrees and go on to productive careers.
Your generosity enhances Wright State's nationally renowned programs, attracts world-class faculty and researchers, and builds state-of-the-art facilities. Thanks to your support over the years, Wright State has evolved into an economic driver that is critical to the vitality and quality of life in our region. Together, we are preparing talented graduates who will lead the future of the Miami Valley.
Thank you for your continued commitment to Wright State and for making an infinite and immeasurable impact on our students and their families.
