Strategic Plan 2030

Year One, Objective Four: Advance Knowledge for Individuals and Communities

Strategy 4.1 Advance High-Impact Research

Wright State researchers earned new NIH awards supporting breakthroughs in neuroscience and machine learning. Faculty in the School of Professional Psychology presented nationally on topics from self-care to culturally responsive practice.

The College of Liberal Arts launched a seed grant program that has already supported international research in Denmark and Austria, building global visibility for Wright State scholarship.

Strategy 4.2 Fuel Entrepreneurship Through Education and Collaboration

The newly launched Sandler Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship appointed its first entrepreneur-in-residence and is developing programs that connect students and alumni to mentorship, innovation, and startup opportunities.

CaTS staff are mentoring student entrepreneurs from the Raj Soin College of Business who placed second in this year’s Wright Venture competition with their AI-powered onboarding assistant for international students. This partnership provides real-world experience in technology development and project design.

Strategy 4.3 Inspire Creative Endeavors Through Connection and Opportunity

The College of Liberal Arts continues to collaborate with the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance under a multi-year partnership. In September, students showcased their talents at “A Celebration of Arts in America” at Levitt Pavilion, bringing free arts experiences to the Dayton community.
