Relay for Life

Saturday, April 13 (2pm) to Saturday, April 14 (8am)

Join the volunteers of We Serve U in sponsoring a student group that is walking all night during the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life!

This year’s Relay for Life is just around the corner.  Teams of WSU students will be walking around the Quad to raise funds for Colleges Against Cancer.  Our students won a fundraising award for the highest percentage increase for the East Central Collegiate Division (all of Ohio and Pennsylvania) in 2011 and 2012, and also won the All American Relay Award for Excellence.   If you would like to support our students in this effort, gather a group of your friends or co-workers together and sponsor a Relay team.  Sponsorship could include:

      1. Show up and cheer your team on
      2. Providing needed supplies (bottles of water, pom-poms, noise makers, etc.)
      3. Surprise your team at 3 a.m. with coffee and donuts
      4. Fundraising help
      5. Whatever creative, fun things you would like to do

We Serve U is coordinating sponsorship of our Relay teams.  If you are interested in sponsoring a team, please send a contact name, email address and phone number for the sponsoring group to Kim Sierschula (kimberly.sierschula@wright.edu) and we will match each sponsoring group with a Relay team that could use your support.  If you already have a group that supports a particular team, please let us know that as well so that we avoid duplication of sponsors for a team.

Let’s help our students break records to fight cancer again this year!

Box top for Education Collection

BoxTop Many of us throw away the Box Tops for Education labels that are on products we use daily. Saville Elementary is a Riverside school that WSU students currently work with. Saville has an Excellent education rating, but also has a high population of needy students. Collecting and donating the Box Tops for Education allows the school to shop for needed supplies and is an easy way we can help. If you are willing to donate your Box Tops for Education to Saville Elementary, please send them to Joanie Hendricks at 216 Medical Sciences.

Thanks to your generosity -- we have donated over 1,600 Box Tops for Education
