Cardboard Boat Submission

Details about the cardboard boat race specifically should be marketed as soon as marketing for Homecoming Week begins, so that teams have ample time to build their boats. This event is hosted by UAB in collaboration with Engineers Without Borders and will take place until 8:00pm. Teams of 3-5 will build boats ahead of time, using only cardboard and duct tape. Upon submission, boats will be judged to make sure these requirements were followed. All boats should be turned in by 8:00pm on Monday, October 5. Sign up here:

Homecoming Kickoff Party

Come celebrate and kick off 2015 Raider Homecoming Week. We will have Food, fun and WSU Spirit! We will be announcing the 2015 Homecoming Royalty Court and opeing up the poll for Students to vote on the next WSU Homecoming Royalty.  Also College Against Cancer will be announcing their theme for the Relay for Life.  Come out and support Homecoming!!

This event is being held by UAB to promote Homecoming Week across campus. The Sidewalk Chalking Form will need to be filled out on Orgsync. with winning and participating orgs receiving spirit point. Judging will take place at 4pm Monday night. Sign up here:

Homecoming Bowling Party

This event is hosted at Beaver Vu Bowl by Black Men on the Move. Bowling is free for any student who presents a valid WSU ID, as well as pizza and drinks for every six people per lane.  The event begins at 10:00pm and continues until the alley closes. Cardboard Boat Race

The Cardboard Boat Race is an annual Homecoming Week event hosted by UAB. This year it will be in collaboration with Engineers Without Borders. It will take place at the pool on Tuesday, October 6, at 7:00pm. Teams must sign up and build the boats before Tuesday. Boats will be displayed in the Student Union Atrium throughout the day on Tuesday, for students to vote on their favorite. From these votes, a name will be drawn for a raffle prize to be given away following the race.  After the race, awards, prizes, and spirit points will be given to the first and second place teams. A few other awards will also be given. Come out and enjoy the fun!

Cardboard Boat Race and Pool Party

This event is hosted by UAB, in Collaboration with Engineers Without Borders. The cardboard boat race will take place in the Atrium/Natatorium. Teams should arrive early to check-in and take their boat the pool. Following the race, teams could be awarded the following prizes: Overall; People’s Choice; Spirit; Titanic. Then stick around for the pool party afterwards hosted by Black Men on the Move and will take place immediately following clean-up from the Cardboard Boat Race.  It is a pool party open to any Wright State student.

On October 7 and 8th we will be hosting a FIFA '16 Tournament on PS3! The winners of each night will play in the Championship game on Saturday October 10th at 6pm during the Homecoming Festival!

Think Pink Week Promo

This event is hosted by Zeta Tau Alpha and will take place on the Quad. It will include “Drink Pink,” with pink lemonade, and “Pie an Eta Pi,” with Zetas volunteering to be pied in the face. Students could wear pink this day, with a slogan: We love our Green and Gold, but on Wednesdays, we wear Pink! At the event, an award could be given to the person wearing the most pink.

3rd Annual Nearly Naked Mile

Come out and donate your clothes and run [nearly] naked across campus at night! Glow paint and glow sticks will be provided. run in bathing suit attire at minimum (or as much as you are comfortable in!). Don't run? Come line our route ready to GLOW! Price of admission is a clothing donation.

Nearly Naked Mile

The Nearly Naked Mile is a clothing drive. Participants show up in clothes they wish to donate, strip to a comfortable level (minimum of swimsuit attire) and run a one-mile course winding through campus. The event has been retooled this year with a brand new theme, #RaiderUpStripDown, and is now a glow run! Green glow-in-the-dark body paint and yellow glow bands and necklaces will be provided for students to deck out and illuminate themselves with. Cost of admission is a donation. Registration and pre-run activities begin at 6:00 PM at Hamilton Beach. Pre-run activities will include Minute-to-Win-It games and a design competition. The run will begin at 8:00 PM. A speaker from St. Vincent DePaul will be present at the event to collect the clothing. The Nearly Naked Mile is intended to be fun and charitable. The Student Alumni Association is looking to make this event one of the staples of Homecoming.

This event is hosted by the Marketing Club and will take place in the SU Atrium.  It is hosted to celebrate the anniversary of Wilbur Wright’s flight on Huffman Prairie that made the advanced stage of their design evident. The event will include displays on history and technology, as well as food and a keynote address.

Organizational Leadership alumni, You are invited to attend our first Alumni Wine tasting/networking event on October 9, 2015 at 5:30 pm at Wright State University’s Student Union, Pathfinder Lounge. Organizational Leadership faculty will be in attendance to reconnect and network with you! OL is one of the largest degree programs on campus so do not miss this opportunity!

This networking and wine tasting event will be an informal event for graduates of the Organizational Leadership B.S major. OL Director, Scott Graham will lead us through the tasting and provide us with some interesting thoughts about the wines!

Join us for the annual Homecoming Festival in the parking lot of the Rinzler Student Sports Complex. Enjoy live music from Wright State alumni, The Kate Hasting Band and American Idol top 16 finalist, Alexis Gomez! Live music will begin at 5:30 p.m. While at the festival participate in the annual chili cook off, grab a bite to eat from a local food truck, try to beat the AROTC maze, sign up a team to compete in the cornhole tournament, and catch up with fellow alumni in Alumni Association beer tent!
