Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine is located on the university's Dayton campus, and serves the Miami Valley region of Southwest Ohio. Its educational programs include:
- Medical education leading to the M.D., M.D./Ph.D., M.D./M.B.A., or M.D./M.P.H. degrees
- Residency training in 13 medical specialties and fellowship training in 10 subspecialties

Instead of operating a university-based hospital for clinical training, Wright State is affiliated with seven major teaching hospitals in the Greater Dayton area and has formal affiliation agreements with more than 25 other health care institutions in the Miami Valley. This model exposes medical students and resident physicians to a diverse range of patients and health care facilities and is excellent preparation for medical careers in a rapidly changing health care system.
School of Professional Psychology
Welcome to the School of Professional Psychology (SOPP) at Wright State University. What sets the SOPP apart from other doctoral programs is its emphasis on practitioner training. The SOPP was among the first in the United States to develop this training model and grant the Psy.D. degree. The school provides an educational and training experience within a challenging and respectful environment which values diversity.
The SOPP also oversees the staffing and functions of the Ellis Human Development Institute in downtown Dayton. The facility includes state-of-the-art treatment and observation rooms, classroom and seminar space, and office space for faculty. Students may participate in practicum training at its General Practice Clinic or other programs housed there.
