Fred Strahorn was appointed to the Wright State University Board of Trustees for a term ending 2013, replacing Jamie King.

Strahorn is Senior Advisor to the Ohio Democratic Party.

Strahorn won election to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2000 and was re-elected in 2002, 2004 and 2006. In 2009, Strahorn was appointed to the Ohio Senate to replace Tom Roberts, who had been appointed to the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.

Strahorn holds a B.A. in aviation management from The Ohio State University. He resides in Dayton and has a daughter.
