Wright State University became an independent institution in 1967 and spent the next 50 years growing into an innovative leader in affordable and accessible education. In 2017, we celebrate the first 50 years and set the course for the next half century.

Staff, Publications Writer/Editor

My first day at Wright State was April 1, 2013. I stood near the Student Union, wondering how I could ever find my way around this huge campus. A student stopped and asked if he could point me in the right direction. That simple gesture helped more than he'll ever know.

Kyle O'Brien

Staff, Web Developer Designer

Wright state was my first full time professional job outside of eight years at a gas station. Baby faced, giggly and excited Wright State hired me. Within three years, I’ve met inspiring people, grown in confidence but most importantly Wright State let me grow beyond my previous limitations.

Mark Anderson

Staff, Director of Web Development & Strategy

In 1997, I joined the Boonshoft School of Medicine to help transform medical education. After completing my master degree from the Raj Soin College of Business, I migrated to the Office of Marketing in 2011 to modernize and focus our public web presence, all of which has been incredibly rewarding.
