The Second Annual
Science Olympiad Health Science/Anatomy Clinic
was held on Saturday April 4, 2009
at Wright State University
sponsored by the departments of
Emergency Medicine
and
Neuroscience, Cell Biology and Physiology

AND WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!!!

 

Over 60 Division B and Division C competitors and coaches took part in the all-day series of learning and activity stations which focused on the anatomy and physiology of cardiavascular and skeletal systems. All teaching was done by Wright State University graduate students and included:

• Examination of X-rays
• Microscopic histology of bone and heart cells
• Gross bone anatomy
• Bone bingo and crosswords
• Cardiac ultrasound
• Electrocardiogram analysis
• Anatomy of the heart

The day's activities ended with a spirited and hard fought game of Jeopardy.
