Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Search

Next Steps

President and Provost walking

On June 30, 2018, I will step down as Wright State University's Provost, Vice President for Curriculum and Instruction, and Dean of the University College. I accepted a three-year appointment to the position of Provost in the summer of 2015 with the following four goals:

  • Restore the community's confidence that Wright State University, and the Provost's Office in particular, operates under the highest ethical standards,
  • With the Chief Financial Officer, lead the university through a budget remediation that realigns expenses with current and projected revenue,
  • Provide administrative continuity through the transition to new presidential leadership,
  • Most importantly, ensure that providing the highest quality academic programs and opportunities for our students remained the university's priority through these challenges.

I would like to thank the staff, faculty, and administration who worked tirelessly during this time for their commitment and support in helping achieve these goals. It has been and, until July, will continue to be an honor to serve the university as the Provost.

I am making this announcement now so that a search can take place for my successor during the spring semester. This will ensure a smooth transition as President Schrader builds her leadership team.
