Office of the Dean

The Office of the Dean is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Wright State’s graduate programs, including the enforcement of policies and procedures, program review, and approval of graduate faculty. The office is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Graduate School.

Admissions

The admissions staff is responsible for collecting applications and related materials, processing applications, and officially admitting graduate students to the university.   In addition, the office serves as the origin point for admission petitions.

Assistantships

The assistantship staff serves as the central processing for graduate assistantship contracts.  In addition to assistantship processing, the staff also applies tuition remission for ongoing assistantships and verifies that students are taking the required number of credit hours per the assistantship contract.

Graduation

The graduation staff is responsible for overseeing the processing of graduation applications and the awarding of graduate degrees. In addition, the staff also provides thesis/dissertation format checking and serves as the origin point for academic petitions.

Recruitment

The recruitment staff is responsible for university wide graduate recruitment functions, including web site administration. In addition, the staff is responsible for stragetic marketing and retention initiatives.
