CTL Policy #706: Teleconferences
- Description
- A teleconference is a conference between two or more participants at different sites by using satellite technology to transmit the audio and video signal. The CTL has several satellite resources that enable reception of various c-band, ku-band, analog and digital programs.

- For Satellite Downlinks:
- A minimum notice of 7working days is required.
- Refer the request to the Conference & Facilities Manager.
- For Satellite Uplinks:
- A minimum notice of 4 months is required, as the CTL must make numerous equipment and crew arrangements.
- Refer the request to the Conference & Facilities Manager. The Conference and Facilities Manager must handle all uplink requests, as numerous arrangements must be made with vendors that supply satellite uplinking equipment.
- The CTL will charge the client a consultation fee if the client backs out of an uplink after the CTL has spent numerous hours coordinating the uplink.
