Scholarships for first-year students

Wright State University offers several scholarships for first-year students including Academic Performance Scholarships and Competitive Honors Scholarships.

On this page you will find the eligiblity criteria and deadlines for Academic Performance Scholarships, Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship, and the Competive Honors Scholarships.

Academic Performance Scholarships

Academic Performance Scholarships are based on your high school academic record. You must apply for admission by February 15, 2008 of your senior year in high school to be eligible for these scholarships. A separate application is not required. Complete eligibility criteria and information can be found at the Financial Aid site.

Please note: You may only recieve one Academic Performance Scholarship.

Competitive Honors/Trustees Scholarships

To apply for the highly competitive Honors or Trustees Scholarship, students must complete the Admission Application and the Competitive Honors/Trustees Scholarship Application form, submit a typed essay, a typed list of extracurricular activities, two recommendation letters from teachers and/or counselors, transcripts of PSEO courses (if applicable) and a high school academic transcript. All items must be postmarked by January 15 to be considered.

Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship Student must be an immediate family member (spouse, child, legal dependent, stepchild, or grandchild) of a Wright State alumnus or alumna who is a current voting (dues-paying) member of the Wright State Alumni Association and has been a voting (dues-paying) member for two full calendar years, immediately prior to scholarship application. There are many scholarships available from Wright State University that are specific to a student's area of interest. ROTC, College of Liberal Arts, Raj Soin College of Business, College of Engineering and Computer Science, and others also offer scholarships.
