Children’s Miracle Network
What is Children’s Miracle Network?
Today, roughly 10 Million children are treated at a Children’s hospital and roughly 62 children per minute come in to receive treatment. Treatments received at Children’s Hospitals range from cancer treatments to broken bones and asthma. Each child receives individualized care and comfort. They don’t do it alone, however. Since 1983, more than $5 Billion has been raised for research, training, and equipment for the 170 Children’s Hospitals in The U.S. and Canada. Most of the money is raised $1 at a time though sales of the CMN Balloons, which bring in around $88 Million each year. Dance Marathons are one way to help bring in money. Since 1991, Dance Marathons have brought in over $66 Million to help fight childhood illnesses.
What is Dayton Children’s?
Dayton Children’s sees 290,000 infants, children, and teens each year. While their treatments and ailments may be different, these families all have one thing in common. Hope. They are hoping for the best when they walk through those doors. They are hoping for more birthdays, more proms, more time.
