D. Bartlett Blair (Costume Designer) joined the Wright State University State faculty in 1980 and has been a full professor since 1994.  She received her BA in Studio Art from SUNY, Postdam and her MFA from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She designed costumes for over 95 productions at Wright State University and over 20 professional theatre productions including the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, The Dayton Opera, and The Human Race Theatre Company. 

She has designed several music videos, independent features, and short independent films. She also worked in the wardrobe department of Universal Studios Seabiscuit. Currently she is the costume supervisor for the Dayton Opera where she has overseen work on 15 operas such as Turandot, Porgy and Bess, La Bohème,  and Don Giovanni. She has also worked for the Dayton Wardrobe Local 886 as an extra on 27 national tours such as Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, and Mama Mia. Bartlett’s design work has been included in numerous design exhibitions throughout the United States and the Prague Quadrennial in 1993 and 1999. Bartlett has been a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 since 1981.
