Placement tests

A critical first step in developing your college program of study is to determine your appropriate first mathematics and English composition courses. It is important to be able to register for a class at your current skill level. Enrolling in a class that is too advanced may put you at an academic disadvantage. Likewise, taking a class on a subject you already have mastered may cause you to take additional courses that may not be required. Wright State uses a combination of ACT or SAT test scores and placement examinations to determine your initial placement in mathematics and English composition.

Do not delay: You will confirm your Fall Semester classes during Orientation with an academic advisor. Your placement test results must be on file in order to do so.

You will be able to submit changes to your schedule the day of Orientation.
