Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (M.A.)

She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Arts (English, French, Sociology) followed by a Master’s degree in Linguistics, from Sri Lanka. Before coming to the USA, she worked as an instructor in English at the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. Since childhood, she believed in helping one another; therefore, she is excited to work at the writing center by guiding students to become better writers.  At the same time, this will help her grow as a teacher. During her leisure time, she likes to watch movies. Also, she loves to explore human feelings and experiences by reading memoir. Her favorite memoir is Angela’s Ashes by Frank McCourt.  She is eager to expand her understanding about cultures by teaching students from various countries.
