New Business

  • Graduation – revisited – Yes to a section for staff.  USAC will have no responsibility to fill this section. Will be available to staff strongly encouraged to participate.  We don’t think there will be an issue with lack of attendance.
  • OD&L / HR
    • HR Survey
      • Receipt of the survey is sporadic we’re unsure of the intended audience.  This was an inquiry concerning kinds of leadership training staff seeks.
  • Staff Development Day Recap
    • Well received but participation down.  Our speculation about why…Maybe there should more sessions instead of big blocks to make it easier to attend.  Bad time of year?   Vacations?  Busy time?    Comments said, "Supervisors grumble about staff attending".  Observation - Fewer males than females.   Recommendation - Encourage supervisors to allow staff attendance.
  • Staff Compensation
    • FAQ coming soon on HR website
    • Student Worker Pay – no one knows where the new classifications came from
  • Abolishment Letters -  – we offered our suggestions at Staff Council – Shari visiting Staff Council in September to discuss
  • Suggestion Box
    • Plan to make active soon along with a “who to contact if…” list
  • Flexible Work Arrangement Focus Group
    • Pam & Misty joining Jonathan at the focus group August 27th
  • New VPN –
    • Called VDI
    • More secure
    • Not sure of a rollout date
    • It’s like working on your work computer from home - no footprint left behind
