Margaret Roach retired from Wright State University where she was a Reference Librarian and later volunteered at Good Samaritan Hospital. She passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

Mary Lou enjoyed sharing stories of her life and passing along her love of sewing, quilting, home renovating and gardening. She had a passion for travel, visiting various places in the United States and abroad, and especially enjoyed her visits to England and Egypt. She died on Feb. 25, 2022.

Don was an active volunteer with Hospice of Dayton and St. Leonard’s Retirement Community. He served as a founding leader of the Manistee Lake Association and worked with the Au Sable Institute on the use of biologics to preserve the lake environment. He will be missed for his witty sense of humor in any situation and his ability to bring out the best in people close to him. He died Feb. 1, 2022.

Gail mentored many young nurses over the years and thoroughly enjoyed and contributed much to the nursing profession. She was a role model for many. Her ready smile and friendly attitude will be missed by all. She dies on Jan. 27, 2022.

Anna was active in her church, Mary Help of Christians, helping with church bazaars, serving school lunches, and providing food for families and friends after church funeral services. She was an avid reader and enjoyed some great travel experiences including a trip to Hawaii and an Alaskan cruise. She died Dec. 5, 2021.

Jacqueline’s art was displayed in several exhibitions in and around the Dayton area. She also received an award from the city for a light sculpture that she created. She died in Carthage, N.Y., on Dec. 2, 2021.
Crete Vandeval

Because of her big personality, Crete Vandeval hosted many dignitaries including members of the Dayton Accords ending the Bosnia-Herzegovina wars held at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and performers at the Nutter Center including Cher, Kiss, Bob Dylan and many others. She passed away on Nov. 22, 2021, with her family by her side.

Eve Wolf lived her life with a profound sense of contentment. She liked to start each day with a run. She took comfort in her faith and was an active member of the Dayton Jewish community. She died Nov. 20, 2021.
