Excerpt from the Dayton Daily News

A tentative agreement has been reached to end the Wright State strike, according to the faculty union.

Earlier this evening, the AAUP negotiating team came to a tentative agreement with the Wright State administration and the AAUP executive committee who voted to end the strike.

All faculty is to return to work Monday, Feb. 11.

The Wright State Board of Trustees will meet in an executive session Monday at 5:30 p.m. to discuss collective bargaining, according to a release from Wright State Director of Communications.

Statement from the AAUP-WSU Facebook page:

When the administration/Board imposed an incredibly unreasonable contract on January 4, their objective was the same as it has been for nearly two years: to break our union. They failed! By standing together and going on strike, we have reversed much of the worst in the imposed contract and, in particular, have retained our right to bargain over health care.

Earlier this evening, the AAUP-WSU negotiating team came to a tentative agreement with the administration, and the AAUP-WSU Executive Committee has voted to end our strike. All Bargaining Unit Faculty should return to work effective Monday, February 11. Any BUFMs who are uncertain as to what they should do tomorrow should contact their department chair.

A brief description of the terms tentatively agreed upon will be formulated and circulated to all RCMs as soon as we can manage it, which we believe will be sometime on Monday, February 11. A complete tentative CBA will be put to the Regular Chapter Members for a ratification vote in accordance with the chapter constitution and bylaws.

We walked out in solidarity and now return stronger than ever. We thank the negotiating team for steadfastly fighting for the best possible collective outcome for the entire membership.
