Orientation

What classes should you take? How do you join a club? Where can you find a tutor? Whether you're a new student or a transfer student, our orientation experiences will help answer your questions and prepare you for success at Wright State. 

During orientation, you will:

  • Gain the knowledge you need to confidently move forward as a Wright State Raider.
  • Meet staff, faculty, and students who can answer your questions.
  • Learn about student support services and academic life.
  • Gain a better understanding of your personal, academic, and financial responsibilities while attending college.
  • Learn how to smoothly transition to Wright State.
  • Experience Wright State spirit and pride.
  • Learn how to use Pilot, the system you will also use for your classes.

Starting classes in Spring Semester?

Be ready for Spring Semester and beyond by attending a virtual orientation program. Orientation is a one-week, self-paced program that covers the important information you need to know to be a successful student. Visit your Admissions Portal and select Orientation Registration under Next Steps to register for your orientation session.

December 13–19, 2021
January 3–9, 2022 

Starting classes in Fall Semester?

Get the tips and tools you need to be a successful Wright State Raider. Your orientation process will include a mix of online and in-person experiences that will help you prepare for Fall Semester and beyond. Registration will open March 1. Check your Wright State email and Admissions Portal for important information as it becomes available.

Starting classes in Summer Semester?

Enjoy a mix of online and in-person orientation experiences that will prepare you for success. You can also choose to attend an orientation session even if you have started classes. Details will be posted as they become available.
